Sprint Stars Clash in Ostrava! Lyles and Gout to Battle on 150m Track
The 65th Ostrava Golden Spike will feature two sprinting stars in the same race! In the special 150-meter, fans will see eight-time world champion Noah Lyles and the super-talented Gout Gout on the track. It will be their first direct clash ever.
The ever popular Noah Lyles from Florida is currently the world's fastest sprinter and the King of the 200 meters. In addition to eight World Championship titles, including four consecutive golds in the 200 m. Noah also won Olympic gold medal in the 100 m in Paris 2024. He started the season with fast 19.91 in Gainesville on April 17.
Australian sprinting talent Gout Gout set a new personal best and national record at the last Golden Spike meet and has all the makings of becoming the successor to the legendary Usain Bolt. The 18-years old sprinting prodigy clocked in April at Australian championships new World U20 record 19.67 and leads the years lists.
Fans will have to hold on tight to their seats, because in June, sprinting tornadoes promising speed at the limits of human capability will sweep through the Vítkovice stadium. The current World best 14.92 by Kishane Thompson will be under threat.
